General Notary Questions

A notary public is a state-appointed official authorized to witness signatures, administer oaths, and certify documents. Their role is to verify the identity of signers and confirm that documents are signed willingly. A notary is not a lawyer and cannot provide legal advice.

You'll need a valid, government-issued photo ID. Acceptable forms include a driver's license, state-issued ID card, or passport. The ID must be current (not expired) and include your photo and signature.

No. Do not sign your document before meeting with the notary. The notary must witness the act of signing. Pre-signed documents cannot be notarized.

Yes. A notary can notarize a document in any language as long as the notarial certificate portion is in English (as required by Florida law). The notary does not need to read or understand the full document, only to verify the signer's identity and witness the signature.

Mobile Notary

You schedule an appointment with us, provide your location, and we come to you. We arrive with everything needed for the notarization. You show your ID, sign in front of us, and we notarize on the spot. The whole process typically takes 15 to 30 minutes depending on the number of documents.

It depends on current scheduling and your location. For planned appointments, we confirm a specific time. For urgent requests, contact us directly by phone or text at (631) 800-3569 and we will do our best to accommodate you as quickly as possible.

Yes. Hospital and care facility signings are a common and important part of what we do. We handle power of attorney, living wills, healthcare directives, and other time-sensitive documents in these settings regularly. We approach these appointments with care and patience.

Remote Online Notarization (RON)

Yes. Florida authorized RON under Florida Statute 117.021. Documents notarized remotely carry the same legal weight as in-person notarizations. Many other states also accept Florida RON notarizations, though acceptance varies by state and document type.

You need a computer, tablet, or smartphone with a working camera and microphone, a stable internet connection, a valid government-issued photo ID, and the document to be notarized (usually as a PDF). We'll send you a secure link before the session.

Yes. With Florida's RON authorization, SteadyFlow can notarize documents for signers located anywhere in the United States. You do not need to be physically present in Florida to use this service.

Loan Signing

A loan signing agent is a notary public who has been specifically trained to handle the signing of real estate loan documents. SteadyFlow holds NNA certification as a signing agent, which includes training on loan document packages, lender requirements, and proper completion of paperwork.

Yes. We work regularly with title companies, escrow officers, and lenders as a trusted signing agent in the Tampa Bay area. We understand the documentation requirements and communicate clearly throughout the process.

Yes. SteadyFlow is licensed to perform marriages in the State of Florida. We handle the ceremony and ensure the marriage license is properly signed and filed with the appropriate county clerk after the ceremony.
